Invisible Ink

After reviewing "Invisible Ink" I have learned that it refers to the hidden or underlining meanings of writing as it is read by different people. In a way it is a personal understanding of what is written to the reader. The beginning of the article goes to question the meaning behind what was written, "Run, Jip, run.". In one's mind, one must formulate why Jip was running in the first place. Was Jip fleeing or chasing another person? This is a simple example though. When reading writing, there can be hidden things and meanings that can shift the perspective of what is read. To confirm this, the Article goes on to say, "Invisible Ink is what lies under, between, and outside the lines hidden until the right reader discovers it." Many can read what is written at face value, but to truly understand the intentions of the author one must look beyond what is at face value. After learning what Invisible Ink was, it now can be universally applied to any authors writing; one can look deeper into authors true intentions. Relating this idea to the Toni Morrison Quote about seduction, it fits what Invisible Ink is saying completely. "Luring the readers into environments outside the page" as well as "Disqualifying the notion of a stable text" demonstrates that the physical words on the page are less important than the actual meaning of the text. The term Invisible Ink also implies that things are being said with in the text without them being written down.
